If you’ve listened to my musings for a while, you’ve likely seen me move through some crazy seasons. A decade that included a horrible marriage, a devastating decline in my Dad’s health, a divorce, and just a year later, the death of my Father in 2015. It was ten years of darkness that seemed never ending. But they did end, and I never lost hope that they would.This current season of life has blessed me with many highs. Highs that I’ve worked and continue to work relentlessly for. But these highs couldn’t exist had I not lived the lows. The lows are what allowed me to evolve, to pivot, and to have confidence that if I could push through that level of chaos, I could do anything.The dark seasons are never wasted and they do come to an end. And truly, we need those lows to experience soaring highs. So have hope my dear, the difficult years, will one day come to a close. Have courage my friend, this time you spend, will lead to seasons of gold.

We recently did this update to The Bedroom (shout out to my wonderful friend Chelsea Maras for bringing this material vision to life). Most of my shoots are done in the Main Studio and I’ll sometimes mix in The Bedroom. But this was my first ever shoot done solely in The Bedroom, and I couldn’t love it more.I’m currently pushing myself to evolve my work. It’s a fun challenge that’s bringing me new joy as a photographer.
